LUMEOVA, Inc. is pleased to announce its selection by the US Department of Defense for Small Business Innovation & Research (SBIR) Phase-I grant for the development of ultra-fast, optical transmitters. The SBIR grant is intended to invest in leadership technologies for dual-use national defense as well as commercial applications. The new project is anticipated to start in 2024 and LUMEOVA will have an opportunity to apply and compete for the 24-month Phase-II of this project in 2025.

“We are honored to have been selected by the Department of Defense through a competitive bidding process for this exciting project,”  said M. Ali Khatibzadeh, CEO of LUMEOVA. “This selection is a validation of LUMEOVA’s WiRays® photonics technology and enables us to invest in next-generation Terabit-per-second photonics communication to support our national defense needs as well as for artificial intelligence communication and wireless mobile connectivity.”
